How Does its Education Affect the Roles of Japanese Internationally?
Culture Difference
The definition of education is considered much wider in the United States than in Japan. The access to free knowledge is possible. The government doesn’t interfere with the educational students as much as Japan, and therefore students and teachers along with individual schools have the right for freedom of education. The federal government does not decide the content of education like Japan, it can be said that the United States is more open-minded about the thoughts of people and the different knowledge they have. Along with this, many western countries tend to accept more of individual differences. The reason for this especially in the United States is assumingly because the U.S. is a country composed of immigrants.

Education System
The education structure itself does not differ so much between Japan and Western countries. What does differ, is the content. Japan most of all lacks competition among educational suppliers. Countries which do not have the federal government interfering with education have more variety in the education being taught. This causes competition between schools and associations. Students will also have a greater range of choices in the education they are able to take. When more students want to join a school with a limited amount of space, competition occurs between a applicants, which raise the average of the schools as well. This system is both beneficial for the students and the schools. Along with this, Japanese education systems make it very difficult for students to skip grades. Western culture tends to accept individual differences in the speed of academic development.
